The Dräger Bodyguard 1000 is an electronic motionless and distress signal unit (PASS) that increases the safety of the breathing apparatus user. After being switched on, it performs a full functional test, monitors the user's activity and, in the event of motionlessness or a hazard, generates clear alarm signals. It is equipped with a thermal alarm that warns of a rapid rise in the ambient temperature. LEDs enable team members to recognise one another. It works with Dräger PSS apparatus (3000/4000/5000/7000).
