ExTox ET-1D(A) — gas detection control unit (1 channel)
The ExTox ET-1D(A) is a single-channel gas detection control unit for flammable, toxic gases and oxygen, working with one 4-20 mA transmitter — e.g. from the ExTox ExSens/Sens range. It has all the functions of the 8-channel ET-8D control unit, limited to a single measuring point: 2 independently adjustable alarm thresholds, 4 potential-free relays, a backlit LCD display and full configuration from the device itself, with no need for a computer.

Applications
Facilities with a single gas measuring point — boiler rooms, compressor stations, small technical rooms, cold stores and ammonia installations, fuel and gas stations — wherever a single transmitter is sufficient and investment in a multi-channel control unit would not be justified. Works with ExTox ExSens/Sens transmitters and other transmitters compatible with a 4-20 mA signal.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Does the ET-1D(A) have its own gas sensor?
No — it is a control unit/controller. It receives a 4-20 mA signal from an external transmitter (e.g. from the ExTox ExSens or Sens range) and handles alarming, signalling and the output relays.
What is the difference between the ET-1DA and the ET-1D?
The ET-1DA version additionally has an analogue 4-20 mA output, allowing the measured value to be passed to a higher-level system (e.g. BMS/SCADA). The base ET-1D version does not have this output.
Can the system be expanded with more measuring points in the future?
The ET-1D(A) supports only one channel. Where more measuring points are needed, multi-channel control units from the same family are used (e.g. ET-4D(A), ET-8D(A)).
How is the device mounted?
Four housing variants are available: wall-mount (IP54), DIN-rail, 19" cabinet installation, and panel-mount — the choice depends on the installation location.
