Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
How does the PC3 differ from the P or PQ series?
The PC3 is a Category 3 device for Zone 2, intended for light industrial installations — it does not carry the full ATEX/IECEx certification required in Zones 0/1, unlike the P and PQ series.
What gases does the PC3 Series detect?
Depending on the sensor used: LPG, methane, butane, propane, hydrogen, pentane (catalytic) as well as carbon monoxide, ammonia, oxygen, chlorine, hydrogen sulfide and others (electrochemical).
Does the PC3 support Modbus?
Yes — the detector has a 4–20 mA output and Modbus RS485 (RTU), enabling easy integration with a SCADA system.
