Prosense PE Series — explosive gas detector (catalytic)
Prosense PE Series is an ATEX/IECEx certified explosive gas detector designed as a cost-effective solution for detecting flammable compounds in the 0–100% LEL range. A high-quality catalytic sensor detects LPG, methane, gasoline vapors, butane, propane and hydrogen. An aluminum enclosure and a nickel-plated brass sensor head ensure resistance to harsh environmental conditions at an IP65 ingress protection rating.

Applications
Boiler rooms, gas reduction stations, LPG storage facilities, workshops and smaller industrial installations — a cost-effective solution for detecting flammable gases in explosion-hazard zones.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
What gases does the PE Series detect?
LPG, methane, gasoline vapors, butane, propane and hydrogen in the 0–100% lower explosive limit (LEL) range — the catalytic sensor is selected for the specific target gas.
Does the PE Series require regular maintenance?
The catalytic sensor requires periodic calibration and bump testing; the replaceable sensor head shortens downtime during service.
What is the PE-2R+ module?
It is an optional relay module that allows control of external devices or connection of the detector to a fire alarm panel.
