RESQTEC EDD — battery-powered rescue tools (cutters, spreaders, rams)
The EDD (Electronic Direct Drive) line comprises rescue tools driven purely electrically — a compact, high-efficiency motor drives the working screw, eliminating hydraulics (no pump, oil, valves or seals). Available as G-series cutters, X-series spreaders, FX/G4WX combi tools and V-series rams. The same heads and performance as the 350 bar hydraulic versions, with full mobility on a Li-ion battery swapped in seconds.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
How does EDD differ from hydraulic tools?
EDD has an electric drive instead of a hydraulic one — no pump, oil or hoses, while the performance and heads are the same as in the 350 bar versions.
How long does a battery swap take?
A few seconds — the 43.2 V Li-ion battery snaps into place.
Do the tools meet standards?
Yes — they have classifications per EN 13204 and compliance with NFPA 1936.
