The WatchGas QGM (Quad Gas Monitor) is a rugged detector for up to 4 gases — LEL, O₂, H₂S and CO — in a durable, grippy housing operated with a single button. Available with a catalytic combustible-gas sensor (QGM-CAT) or an infrared one (QGM-IR); the IR version draws less power (operating time up to 2 months), is not poisoned by silicone/sulfur and measures combustible gases even without oxygen present. Which gases does the WatchGas QGM measure?
Four simultaneously: flammable gases (LEL), oxygen, H₂S and CO. It is a classic 4-gas detector for personal protection and confined spaces.
How does the IR version differ from the CAT?
The QGM-IR has an infrared flammable-gas sensor: it draws less power (operation up to 2 months), is not poisoned by silicone/sulphur and measures flammable gases even without oxygen. The QGM-CAT uses a catalytic sensor (up to 24 h).
How do I calibrate it?
The bump test and calibration are performed in the QGM Mono/Multi Dock station; data is downloaded via IR Link. SafeTech provides service and calibration.
