Water-driven smoke-extraction fan (water turbine)
A water-driven fan is powered by a water stream from the hose line — a water turbine drives the impeller, so the device requires no electricity, fuel or batteries and produces no exhaust fumes. This allows long, safe operation, including in explosive atmospheres. Part of the water is sometimes sprayed into the airflow, additionally cooling and binding smoke.

Smoke extraction in explosive atmospheres, long-term ventilation, places without power access — where a water line is available.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Where does the fan get its drive from?
From the water stream of the hose line — a water turbine drives the impeller, without electricity and fuel.
Is it suitable for EX zones?
Yes — the absence of a combustion engine and sparking makes it safe in explosive atmospheres.
