Dräger Pac 8000 — single-gas detector for special gases (incl. CO₂, Cl₂, NH₃, PH₃, O₃)
The Dräger Pac 8000 is a rugged, reusable personal single-gas detector that detects hazardous concentrations of up to 29 different gases — including special gases such as nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), ozone (O₃) and phosgene (COCl₂) that standard detectors do not cover. Advanced sensors with a short t90 response time deliver instant reaction, and in addition to standard alarms you can define extra TLV and STEL thresholds. The shock- and chemical-resistant housing meets IP68 requirements.
The Dräger Pac 8000 is a rugged, reusable personal single-gas detector that detects harmful concentrations of as many as 29 different gases — including special gases such as nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), ozone (O₃) and phosgene (COCl₂) that standard detectors do not cover. Advanced sensors with a short t90 response time provide instant reaction, and in addition to the standard alarms you can define extra TLV and STEL thresholds. The housing, resistant to shocks and chemicals, meets IP68 requirements.
Note: The specific gas and its measuring range depend on the ordered sensor — one gas per unit, variant selected when ordering. The detector supports up to 29 gases in total.
Key features
- Special-gas detection — incl. CO₂, Cl₂, NH₃, PH₃, O₃, NO, NO₂, HCN, organic vapors (OV/OV-A), phosgene.
- Very high sensitivity — O₃ from as little as 0.02 ppm, phosgene (COCl₂) from 0.01 ppm, NO₂ from 0.04 ppm.
- Configurable additional TLV and STEL alarm thresholds.
- DrägerSensor XXS sensors with a short t90 response time.
- 360° alarm signal (LED), audible and vibrating alarm.
- Water- and dust-tight IP68; housing resistant to shocks and chemicals.
- Time-stamped data logger; CC-Vision software.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Which special gases does the Pac 8000 detect?
Among others CO2, Cl2, HCN, NH3, NO, NO2, PH3, ozone (O3), organic vapors (OV/OV-A) and phosgene — up to 29 gases in total.
How sensitive is the Pac 8000?
It detects very low concentrations — ozone from as little as 0.02 ppm, phosgene from 0.01 ppm, NO2 from 0.04 ppm.
Does the Pac 8000 have additional alarm thresholds?
Yes — in addition to the standard alarms, you can define TLV and STEL thresholds.
