Dräger X-zone® 5500 — wireless area gas detection monitor

The Dräger X-zone® 5500 is a portable area monitor that turns a Dräger X-am® detector (5000/5100/5600) into a stand-alone, wireless zone station. When gas is detected it triggers a bright, 360-degree LED alarm ring and a loud acoustic signal, and networked units form a wireless “detection fence” — an alarm on one station triggers an alarm on all. A rugged, watertight housing (IP67), long battery run time and an optional pump make it suitable for confined-space work, plant turnarounds and along installation perimeters.

Note: The X-zone 5500 requires a compatible X-am detector (sold separately). The number and placement of stations and the network configuration are matched to the task and the size of the zone.

Does the X-zone 5500 work on its own?

Is it suitable for confined spaces?

Yes — this is one of its main applications; a pump version is available for measuring before entry and during work.
