Dräger RZ 7000 — portable tester for closed-circuit breathing apparatus (CCBA)
The Dräger RZ 7000 is a portable device for functional and leak tests of Dräger PSS BG4 plus and Dräger BG ProAir closed-circuit breathing apparatus (CCBA). Once switched on, it automatically zeroes the sensor and is ready to work, and a built-in hand pump generates both positive and negative pressure without any additional accessories. A compact, rugged IP54 housing and a lithium-ion battery (min. 24 h of operation) let you test equipment both in the ODO workshop and in the field.
Key features
- Fast and easy functional and leak tests for Dräger PSS BG4 plus and Dräger BG ProAir closed-circuit breathing apparatus (CCBA).
- Automatic sensor zeroing after switch-on — the device is ready to work immediately.
- A self-locking adapter ensures a secure connection to the apparatus throughout the test.
- Built-in hand pump (aluminium handle, stainless-steel shaft) — generates positive pressure immediately, and negative pressure after a single turn of the switch, with no additional switching needed.
- Five-position switch — selects the pump direction, flow measurement (automatic switch to the flow sensor) and rapid venting without disconnecting the apparatus.
- Backlit display shows the current pressure as well as the stored start and end values of the test; during the leak test a timer counts down the remaining time and calculates the pressure difference.
- Portable, rugged housing rated IP54 (with the cover closed), resistant to dust and splashing water.
- Lithium-ion battery — min. 24 h of operation without external power, configurable auto-shutdown, and can run while charging.
- Optional Dräger Protector Software documents the results and automatically tracks the dates of subsequent tests, with reports printed immediately or later.
- An optional test head extends testing to full-face masks with an RP connector.
