Dräger M18 — drying cabinet for masks (18 pieces)
The Dräger M18 (manufactured by Harstra Instruments) is a compact, space-saving drying cabinet for masks and small ODO equipment — it dries up to 18 masks/half-masks (2 baskets of 9 pcs each) at the same time, or helmets and other small equipment on the appropriate basket. Built-in sensors detect when the equipment is already dry and automatically end the cycle — without the risk of over-drying and damaging the mask material. Automatic drying cycle approx. 2 hours.

Suitability
The M18 dries respiratory-protection masks and half-masks (up to 18 pcs at the same time) and — on the appropriate basket — helmets and other small equipment. Equipment must be properly cleaned and disinfected before drying (e.g. in a Harstra Wash 9 or Wash 36 washer). The M18 is not intended for turnout clothing (for that, the K series) or for breathing apparatus — the dedicated Harstra M45B is intended for SCBA.
Applications
Respiratory-protection service stations, volunteer and state fire stations, workshops for maintaining respiratory-protection equipment — fast, gentle drying of masks after cleaning, with no risk of damaging the material with high temperature.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
How many masks fit in the M18?
A maximum of 18 masks/half-masks at the same time — in 2 baskets of 9 pieces each.
Will the M18 also dry helmets and other equipment?
Yes — just use the appropriate basket (optional accessories are available, including other wire-basket sizes).
Does the drying cycle need to be monitored?
No — the humidity sensor detects drying on its own and switches the device off (approx. 2 hours, depending on the load); a timed mode is also available.
Is a larger version available?
Yes — the Dräger M-45 model (up to 45 masks) is also available, along with the M45B version with an option for drying breathing apparatus (SCBA). Ask about the right choice for your unit.
