The Dräger X-plore 8000 is a modular powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) for protection against gases, dust and particles. The blower maintains a constant, controlled flow rate thanks to temperature and pressure sensors, regardless of conditions. IP65 protection class (dust-tight, resistant to water jets). A rich range of headtops (half masks, full-face masks, hoods, helmets, visors) allows the set to be matched to the task and expanded at any time.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

How does a PAPR differ from a self-contained apparatus (SCBA)?

A PAPR purifies the surrounding air through filters with a forced blower — it is used when there is oxygen in the air and the hazard is gases/dust. An SCBA supplies its own air and is required where there is a lack of oxygen or concentrations are too high.

How long does it run on a single charge?

From 4 h (standard battery) to 8 h (extended) at the maximum flow of 210 l/min and a P3 filter — longer at a lower flow.
