FAS Turbo Flow — fresh-air hose breathing apparatus (fresh air system)

The FAS Turbo Flow is a fresh-air hose breathing apparatus that supplies the user with clean air drawn from outside the contaminated area. Available in two versions: without a blower (air supplied through a hose up to 20 m long, independent of electrical power) and with a Turbo Flow blower (operation on a hose up to 30 m per user). Connecting two hoses to the blower allows two people to work at the same time (30 m each). The set is based on the renowned 3S full-face mask, and air from a source outside the zone gives a practically unlimited working time.

Note: This is a fresh-air hose apparatus (not self-contained) — it requires a source of clean air outside the contaminated zone. It does not protect on its own in an ATEX zone without a suitable configuration. The end filter and safety clip are fitted at the hose inlet in the non-powered version.

How does a hose apparatus differ from a self-contained one (SCBA)?

A hose apparatus draws clean air from a source outside the contaminated zone and supplies it through a hose — giving practically unlimited working time, but requiring access to clean air. An SCBA carries an air supply in a cylinder and is mobile, but limited in time.

How far from the air source can you work?

Up to 20 m without a blower or up to 30 m per user with the Turbo Flow blower; hoses can be joined with a coupling.

Is it suitable for welding and asbestos?

Yes — a welding adapter for the 3S mask is available, and the apparatus performs well for asbestos removal and highly dusty work.
