K10 SafeTech Core Compact — single-gas detector (EX, H₂S, CO or O₂)
A compact single-gas detector worn on the person — on a belt, a lapel or in a pocket. One unit measures one gas, chosen when ordering: flammable gases (EX), hydrogen sulphide, carbon monoxide or oxygen. It warns of a threshold being crossed four ways at once: sound, light, vibration and a message on the display.
What it is for
A personal detector for work where the hazard is single and known: carbon monoxide in a boiler room or garage, hydrogen sulphide in sewers and treatment plants, flammable gases around gas installations, oxygen before entering a confined space. Sampling is by diffusion — the instrument measures the air breathed by the person carrying it.
To check the atmosphere before entering a manhole or tank you need remote sampling — that is what the hand aspirator pump kit with a probe is for.
Four alarms at once
- Sound — a high-output sounder, audible in noise.
- Light — two alarm lamps on the sides of the housing, visible from the side and from above.
- Vibration — works when noise drowns the sounder and the eyes are busy.
- Display — concentration, alarm state and battery charge on one screen.
The alarms report not only a threshold being crossed but also a sensor fault and a flat battery — the instrument tells you itself when it stops being trustworthy.
Gas choice and ranges
You choose one gas when ordering. The alarm points below are the factory settings — we can change them to match your procedures.
| Gas | Range, resolution and alarm points |
|---|---|
| Flammable gases (EX) | 0–100 %LEL · resolution 1 %LEL · alarms 20 / 50 %LEL |
| Hydrogen sulphide (H₂S) | 0–100 ppm · resolution 0.1 ppm · alarms 10 / 20 ppm |
| Carbon monoxide (CO) | 0–1000 ppm · resolution 1 ppm · alarms 50 / 150 ppm |
| Oxygen (O₂) | 0.0–30.0 %vol. · resolution 0.1 %vol. · alarms 19.5 / 23.5 %vol. |
Other ranges are available to order — H₂S to 50, 200 or 1000 ppm, CO to 500, 2000 or 5000 ppm, and infrared %vol. measurement for flammable gases. Tell us which gas and which concentrations you need.

Calibration and inspections
The manufacturer recommends calibration at least once a year, and a bump test before every use. We do both in our own station in Suchy Dwór near Gdynia or at your site; the calibration gas you need is also in our range. Details on the gas detector servicing page.
Note: the detector should not be stored or used in an atmosphere of aggressive gases such as chlorine — this shortens sensor life.
