Two-threshold alarm modules type MD-2, MD-4 are designed to control and power gas detectors type DEX® / F and type DG / F by GAZEX, for use in the Two-Threshold Gas Detection System or the Active Gas Installation Safety System® GX.
The MD alarm module can control up to two (MD-2) or up to four (MD-4) detectors. The MD module can control additional external optical and acoustic sirens, and enables control and cooperation with other devices via contact outputs. It has the ability to work with other modules or systems through opto-isolated inputs. In MD version ... Z can control the shut-off valve.
Features and implemented functions:
- power supply for individual two-threshold detectors (9V =, with load control),
- checking the status of the wired connection with detectors (signals the interruption of any wire),
- optical signaling and memory of alarm states of each detector and control outputs,
- 12v power supply for additional external devices (low voltage),
- 12V voltage inputs (galvanically separated) for cooperation with additional modules (cascade),
- alarm voltage outputs 12V – supply of additional optical and acoustic signaling devices.,
- contact outputs (galvanically separated) – control of fans, contactors, information boards,
- “TROUBLE” contact output (galvanically separated) – indicates module failure status or power failure.
