The Dräger PSS® BG 4 plus is a closed-circuit (regenerative) breathing apparatus running on compressed oxygen, designed for long-duration, demanding operations — primarily mine rescue and tunnel work. Exhaled air is scrubbed of CO₂ in an absorber and enriched with oxygen, so a single unit provides up to around 4 hours of protection. Cooling of the inhaled air, an ergonomic carrying system and clear monitoring electronics (pressure, remaining time) enhance comfort and safety during extended operations.
